Why make a contribution? Where does that money go?
Summer's End is a not-for-profit in the purest sense; no one who helps run it gets compensated financially for doing so. Instead, every single cent taken in through registration or avenues gets put towards the following things:
Whatever the specifics, it is certain that all our funds go towards making this experience comfortable for and accessible to as many people who need it as we can. Your donation plays a key part in allowing us to continue running this conference from year to year, while still remaining an unaffiliated, free-to-be entity. Ways To Donate 1. Direct donation via Paypal, which is [email protected] 2. Check out our brand-new, official Summer's End store, offering you SE and SE-adjacent content created by Summer's-Enders!

I didn't think I would be able to make it to Summer's End because I'm a disabled person on social assistance, and I frequently struggle with meeting a lot of my basic needs. When I expressed interest, the co-chairs at the time went out of their way to ask around in alumni networks to fundraise my participation. Not only did they help me with getting there, but when I got there, there were so many people going out of their way to make sure myself and other disabled attendees were included. |
Food & Supply Donations
Summer's End also benefits from donations of supplies from farms and cafes and the like. If you or someone you know has a bunch of zucchini, office supplies (especially masking tape, collage supplies, things to write with), soap, or something else you think we might need, please email us!
We'll have someone (likely whoever is food co-ordinator) be in touch with you to co-ordinate. We usually have folks from a few different parts of the continent coming from different directions for Summer's End who will be able to pick up your donation on their way.
